Good news for all Vijay fans. Putting all speculations behinds, Vijay’s Kaavalan has released worldwide today with a bang much to the delight of Vijay’s fans. The movie has taken extraordinary advance booking and almost all the show for next 5 days are booked.
Kaavalan, a remake of Malayalam movie Bodyguard, is directed by Siddique and produced by C Ramesh Babu.
Kaavalan is about a youngster Arun who aspires to be a bodyguard of powerful people in the state. He finally manages to become the bodyguard of Rajkiran and his daughter Asin, who is a college student. The film will have bright and funny moments with an unexpected twist towards the end. As Vijay’s fans expect, this movie promises to be a clean entertainer as is evident in the movie’s trailer.
Siddique, the director of the Malayalam version as well, has remade this film with elements suiting the tastes of Tamil audience. Siddique had earlier directed Vijay in Friends which is also a remake of a Malayalam film. Asin has paired with Vijay for the third time in her career, the earlier movies being Sivakasi and Pokkiri. Vadivelu’s comedy can also be expected to be a highlight of the movie.
Cinematography has been handled by Ekambaram whose work in Kandasamy was praised a lot. Music is always an USP in Vijay’s movies and Vidyasagar has given just the right mix of songs for Kavaalan. The ‘Step Step’ song has won many hearts. The film has been shot in various locations including the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) in Vellore where the blockbuster movie Endhiran was shot.
